Delete your account
How to erase your Omamo account and everything in it, or only some of your data: from the app, from the web, or by email.
In the app
On iPhone or Android, open Omamo, tap your initials at the top right to open Settings, tap your name to open Account, and tap Delete account. Omamo shows what will be deleted and asks you to type DELETE to confirm.
On the web
Sign in at omamo.app/app, open Settings, and choose Delete account at the bottom of the page. The steps are the same as in the app.
By email
If you cannot sign in, write to kotharidhruv25@gmail.com from the email you sign in with, and ask us to delete your account. We delete it within 30 days and write back when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your account, your sign-in, and your settings.
- Every space you own, with its boards, collections, items, notes, and trash, and the invitations and sharing in those spaces.
- Invitations other people sent to your email address.
Deletion is permanent. Nothing goes to the trash, and we cannot restore it.
What stays
- Things you added to a space someone else owns stay in that space for them, credited to its owner.
- If someone else uses a space you own, Omamo asks before deleting it for them too. If you pay for Pro, cancel the subscription first, so you are not charged again.
- Payment records are kept by Dodo Payments for as long as tax law requires.
Delete only some of your data
You can delete what you saved and keep your account, if your role in the space allows it.
- An item: in the app, open it and tap Delete, or press and hold to pick several and delete them together. On the web, choose Delete in the item's menu.
- A collection or a board: on the web, open its menu in the sidebar and choose Delete.
- A whole space you own: on the web, open the space's settings and choose Delete space.
Deleted items, collections, and boards go to the space's trash, where you can restore them for 30 days. After 30 days, or when you choose Empty trash in the space's settings, they cannot be restored, and within a day we erase them from our database, with everything inside them. Our privacy policy says the same.
A deleted space does not go to the trash. It is erased at once, with everything in it.
